Egypt ''popular with UK tourists'' | An influx of British tourists in Egypt during January could prove to be highly lucrative for rental investors in the country.
Online travel agency Lastminute.com revealed that the north African country was attracting a large number of winter sun-seekers from the UK.
John Bevan, managing director of the firm, told the Daily Mail that it was a popular choice because it offered guaranteed sunshine at this time of the year.
This means that many investors in the Egyptian buy-to-let sector will be benefiting from high rental returns and occupancy rates.
Mr Bevan commented: "A miserable January, together with the return to work, have prompted many people to start planning their escape to grab some winter sun."
He added that Egypt was also a popular destination since journey times from the UK were fairly short.
The country was recently recommended as a good option for investors by the BuyAssociation website, since it has good weather for the whole year. EgyptVenture
