Egypt targeting 14m tourists by 2011 | The Egyptian property market could be benefiting from an inflow of 14 million tourists every year by 2011, it has been reported.
According to the Kuwait News Agency, Egyptian tourism minister Mohammad Zoheir Garana set this target following a meeting with Kuwaiti investors.
The minister also set a goal of increasing hotel capacity from 175,000 rooms to 240,000 rooms.
Mr Garana''s meeting established that investors from Kuwait were eager to increase their business in Egypt. The minister welcomed the interest and also invited further investment in Egyptian property and other sectors in accordance with the country''s financial regulations.
Egypt is one of the most popular African destinations for tourists, largely owing to its rich culture and heritage.
As well as such famous attractions as the Sphinx and the Pyramids, tourists can also enjoy tours along the River Nile and diving excursions in the Red Sea. EgyptVenture |
